Welcome to the Skin Scholar Society
This is for women in menopause who are tired of being handed another 12-step routine with no real explanation behind it.
Your skin did not fail you. Your hormones shifted. And most skincare advice was never designed for that.
Skin takes time. That part is true. But time only works in your favor when you understand what is actually happening beneath the surface and why. That is what this is for.
Here you will find the biology behind what you are seeing, which products and devices move the needle at this stage, and how to build a routine that works with your body instead of against it. No overwhelm. No injectables. No guessing.
This is also a community. A place where women in menopause compare notes, ask real questions, and stop figuring this out alone.
Who am I
I’m Lindsey Holder, Master Esthetician and Menopause Skin Specialist.
I have spent 16 years at the treatment table working on real skin going through real hormonal change. I am also navigating menopause myself, which means I am not teaching theory. I am applying what works in real time, in my own mirror, and with my clients every single day.
My approach is built on one principle: stabilize before you stimulate. Most women in menopause are overstimulating already compromised skin. I teach recalibration instead, working with your biology at every stage.

Every week I write one post that gives you something structural you did not have before. Not a tips list. Not a product roundup. The real explanation behind what you are seeing and what to do about it.
Topics covered regularly: collagen and elastin, sunlight and red light therapy, protein and bloodwork, dermarolling, barrier repair, hormone-aware ingredient timing, and device integration.
Free subscribers get every weekly post and access to the community.
Premium subscribers will get deeper clinical breakdowns on that post, protocol guides, and direct access to my recommendations.

Why Your Skincare Is Treating Wrinkles and Ignoring the Real Problem Most skincare targets the surface. This post explains what is actually driving laxity, softening, and structural loss in menopause skin at a cellular level, and why some of the ingredients you trust most may be working against you.
The Collagen Habit Hiding In My Morning Mug Topical products can only go so far. Collagen is built from the inside, and your fibroblasts need raw materials to do it. This is what I have been doing every morning for two years and why it actually matters beyond hitting a protein number.
